Russell D. Jorgensen

Russell D. Jorgensen a western and wildlife sculptor has been a professional sculptor for the past 17 years. "Having the opportunity of living in western Wyoming and northern Utah for the greater part of my life I have enjoyed the influence and availability of subject matter that exist in the wildlife and heritage of the Western and Indian Cultures."

"In sculpture I have been able to release and relate a part of me that has existed since childhood, which in the beginning drove me to experience almost all forms of visual arts such as oils, watercolor, pottery, pencil & pen & ink. All aiding in a balancing of the natural talent of two and three dimensional tendering."

Not only has Russell undertaken the sculpturing of a subject in clay or wax form, but has applied interest into the building of the actual molds from which the production of the limited editions are accomplished. Desiring the ultimate in Limited Edition Casting, extensive research and development brought about the two casting mediums which are used today.

  • Stone cast: A medium that allows an exact cast of the original in solid form, which is formulated from a granite particle composition.
  • Cold Cast Bronze: A medium involving a more extensive mold and cast development. A formulation of metals and resin.
